Well the rage these days is centered on keeping illegal aliens families together once they commit the crime of crossing over the border here in the United States.

My flagship station WBCK 95.3 FM is once again attempting to keep families together with our 12th Annual Roof Sit 2018 today June 22nd and tomorrow the 23rd.  The annual Roof Sit will help fund the Inasmuch House, Calhoun County’s Shelter for Homeless Families.

Our Roof Sit is being held once again at Mancino’s Pizza & Grinders, 2171 West Columbia, where owners Dan and Kelly Frever have graciously allowed us to hold the event on their roof once again this year.

All you have to do to help keep homeless families together here in Michigan is call 269-441-0075 today and tomorrow and give whatever you can afford to a great cause, be it $5 dollars or $500 dollars.

Here are some facts about the Haven of Rest/Inasmuch House:

Haven of Rest has been helping the homeless in Battle Creek every single day since 1956.

Inasmuch House has 55 beds, and is there for whole families who may have lost their home.   While many shelters separate families, the Inasmuch House is able to keep them together and not only provide food and shelter, but skills and resources to pull themselves up and find work and housing.

The annual Roof Siit provides funding for about one-quarter of the annual budget for Inasmuch House.

Haven of Rest and Inasmuch House recently suffered a $150,000 reduction in funding from a local support organization, with less than 90 days’ notice.   Much of those funds paid for the 68,000 meals prepared each year, serving up 3 meals a day to 150 people or more, each day, all year around.

Your donation to Inasmuch House helps pay the staff, utilities, additional food items and all of the household items that all of us take for granted.

So help us help keep Michigan families together by your donation.

We hear so much about keeping illegal alien families together let us also worry and help keep Michigan, American, families together.

Please call 269-441-0075 today and tomorrow to do that.

You can also donate on line at www.thehavenbc.org

Thank you for any support you can give to keep these homeless families; mothers, fathers and their children together.
