Winter is tough on all of us, but for homeless families, it can be brutal.  But Battle Creek is lucky to have the Haven of Rest and Inasmuch House to help those most in need, and Sherwin-Williams and 95.3 WBCK are teaming up to help.

During the Winter months, as the temperatures drop, shelters need extra resources to help them cope with the increased demand.

Several people stopped in at Sherwin Williams on Wednesday, at 6431 B Drive North (Beckley Road)  in Battle Creek. They have partnered with the Haven of Rest and Inasmuch House to collect items from their "wish list". Find this list is found at the Haven's web site. 

 

Sherwin Williams Store Manager Tony Ayres says they'll be taking donations at the store through Sunday at their new location on B drive north across from Tractor Supply.

Here are some things you could drop off to help:

  • Coffee
  • Kleenex
  • Cans of Fruits and Vegetables (especially the BIG ones)
  • Breakfast Meats
  • Foot Powder
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Towels (hand and bathing)
  • Hygene products
  • Laundry detergent
  • Cash!!!
