A raid was conducted in Kalamazoo that turned up a possible drug-dealing operation.

The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team responded to the Interfaith Homes Thursday after residents complained of gun violence and drug activity. At the complex, a 27-year-old Kalamazoo man was arrested for allegedly skipping out his parole.

After that, a search warrant was executed for an apartment, which turned up heroin and evidence of drug dealing. At the apartment was a 44-year-old man who was not arrested, but the prosecutors office will be considering charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin and maintaining a drug house.

The KVET says that they will be “aggressively” investigating illegal activity at the Interfaith Homes, with the cooperation of the complex’s owner.
