High School Basketball: Beavers Hold Off Spartans

As the basketball season enters its final month of the regular season, we got an opportunity to see two city squads battle in non-conference action.The Harper Creek Beavers headed into Tuesday contest riding a two-game winning streak, with wins over Three Rivers and Jackson Northwest. The Lakeview Spartans were looking to change their fortunes after losing four straight, including a tough loss to Battle Creek Central at the historic Field House last Friday.

As in every crosstown rivalry, you can throw out the records. That was the case tonight.
