With two weeks remaining and many conference titles being determined this week, the area high school squads will be playing with a lot on their minds in Week 8.

One of those games is our Game of the Night on WBCK, as the Harper Creek Beavers host the Marshall Redhawks in Interstate 8 action. The Beavers are one of the many teams in the conference title hunt in the area, as they sit in a tie with Jackson Lumen Christi for the lead. Harper Creek is also one of only two teams in the area guaranteed a postseason bid with at least six wins on the season. On the other hand, the Redhawks need to win their final two games to clinch a postseason bid for the second straight year.

Speaking of Lumen Christi, they host the Pennfield Panthers tonight. The Panthers need to win their remaining two games to make it to the postseason for the first time since 2013.

Both Battle Creek Central and Lakeview host non-conference and non-divisional games, respectively. Lakeview is seeking their fifth win on the year, getting them in the postseason with their eight-game schedule.

In the area, Climax-Scotts travels all the way to Bay City tonight. Also, Olivet, Homer and Quincy still need a win to punch their playoff tickets.

Both 8-Man teams in the area, St. Philip and Tekonsha, will be in action on Saturday.
