High School Football Game of the Night

The final week of the High School Football regular season brings several ends to the year, and for just a few area teams, the final chance to make it in to the postseason.

Four area squads, including two Battle Creek teams, are heading into the second season with a chance at a state title. One other city team is hoping a win will solidify their 8-Man postseason bid and another 8-Man team can make it back to the postseason for the first ever 8-Man football season in 2011.

There were also four Big 8 squads in action Thursday night in their annual games against Cascade Conference foes. One of them was tuning up for another postseason run, while another may have had their playoff hopes dashed.
