High School Football Recap – Lakeview at Forest Hills Central

When you get to the postseason, reality can hit when the time ticks to zeros. In the Michigan High School Athletic Association's football playoffs, the reality of a season ending came for a majority of the area squads.

Our Game of the Night in the MHSAA District Semifinals took us to Grand Rapids, as the Lakeview Spartans look to advance beyond the first round of the postseason against the Forest Hills Central Rangers in Division 2. The Spartans ran into a solid Rangers squad that took control early and ran away with the game.

Harper Creek and Pennfield both hit the road in Division 3 and 4, respectively, and looked to return to prior playoff legacies.

Olivet was also in action on the road in a rematch of their Division 5 District Semifinal last year at Berrien Springs.

Homer and Climax-Scotts had home contests to open their postseason schedules in Division 7 and 8.
