Representative Jon Hoadley (D-Kalamazoo) tells WBCK a bi-partisan proposal in the Michigan House of Representatives to develop a Amber Alert-style system for other emergencies is likely to pass easily in the House and Senate.

The proposed system, inspired by the Kalamazoo shootings which happened exactly two months ago Wednesday, would allow law enforcement to deploy a significant alert warning via mobile devices - much like when Amber Alerts are issued.

Hoadley tells The Richard Piet Show the idea has bi-partisan support from Rep. Brandt Iden (R-Oshtemo Township) and Rep. Dave Maturen (R-Brady Township), and Sen. Margaret O'Brien (R-Portage) has endorsed it as well.
