The Magic Johnson Foundation is setting down roots in a third Michigan City. The foundation will be extending its “Holiday Hopes” event, bringing food, toys and gifts to families in Flint. According to Mlive.com, NBA Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson promised that he would return in September after already pledging $250,000 to Flint Community Schools. Holiday Hope events will take place, Saturday and Sunday in Flint, Detroit and Lansing. The foundation says nearly 5,000 families and 400 children will be part of this year’s program.
