Two separate home invasions occurred on Charlotte Street, in Battle Creek, Saturday.

Battle Creek Police were first called to a home on Charlotte Street, early Saturday morning.

Officers arrived around 4:30 AM, after a homeowner reported waking up to find a man standing at the foot of her bed. The suspect left the home on foot when he realized that she was awake.

According to officers, nothing was taken and no injuries occurred. A search with a K-9 unit was unable to locate the suspect.

And then, at approximately 8 PM Saturday evening, officers were once again called for another home invasion, this time in the first block of Charlotte Street, where they interviewed a witness and arrested a 31 year-old man.

The man is currently lodged at the Calhoun County Jail. It is unknown, at this time, if the two separate events are connected.
