Home, Multiple Garages Broken Into

A 23-year-old man is expected to face several home invasion charges along with a domestic assault after an arrest early Thursday morning.

Kalamazoo Public Safety officers made their way to the 1200 block of Vassar Drive just before midnight, where the homeowner spotted the thief taking an iPad after entering through the rear sliding door. The suspect threatened to assault the resident before fleeing on foot.

Officers used their K-9 to follow the suspect to an area along Homecrest Avenue, where he was found behind a garage and arrested.

Investigators learned that the man have been involved in two other nearby garage break-ins and a domestic assault earlier Wednesday night.
