HS Basketball – Bearcats Bounces Niles for Second Straight Win

The Battle Creek Central Bearcats looked to enter the month of February and the second half of their season with some momentum after defeating the rival Lakeview Spartans January 26th.

They hosted the Niles Vikings in non-divisional action in the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference. The Vikings look to snap a seven-game skid on the road and earn their only win in the month of January. Niles opened the season at 3-1.

The Bearcats also were looking to find some offense outside of leading scorer, junior Josh Mann. In Central's previous 10 games, they were 0-8 when Mann led the team in scoring with a 2-0 record in other contests.

There was quite a bit of action on Tuesday night, including four of the five City schools. The other school, Lakeview, was in action Monday night. Here are the scores and the recap from our High School Basketball Game of the Night.
