The second week of the High School Boys Basketball schedule begins with a crosstown battle in downtown. We make our way back to Battle Creek Central, where the Bearcats conclude their three-game home stretch tonight with a non-conference match-up with the Harper Creek Beavers.

The Beavers enter tonight's contest at 2-0, after thumping the Jackson Northwest Mounties 71-53 in their Interstate 8 opener on Friday. With five new starters, the Beavers have had some of their best offense from junior guard Jeremiah Davis, who scored 25 points in the win over Northwest.

The Bearcats will look to find the winning chemistry after suffering a 74-49 loss at home to the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants. The loss dropped them to 1-1 on the season after an opening victory over Jackson.

Join me tonight at the BBCHS gymnasium with coverage beginning just after 7pm on WBCK, on the web at wbckfm.com, and through our RadioPup app on your smartphone or tablet.
