Redhawks Streak Past Panthers: HS Basketball

Led by six points in the third quarter from junior Drew DeVine, the Marshall Redhawks pulled away at the half to hammer the Pennfield Panthers 61-40 in our High School Game of the Night Friday. DeVine would lead the Redhawks (3-0, 2-0 Interstate 8) with a game-high 20 points, including two of Marshall's three buckets from beyond the arc. Junior Tyler Torrey added 10 points and snagged nine steals in the victory, as Marshall keeps pace with Harper Creek and Jackson Lumen Christi for the I-8 lead at 2-0.

Steffen Kinne pulled down nine rebounds to along with 11 points to lead the Panthers (3-1, 1-1 I-8), who battled foul trouble with a few players. Senior big man Ryan Lowe put in 10 points and senior Brandon Rugg chipped in seven in the loss.
