HS Hoops For The New Year: HS Basketball – December 31

While one team earned their first victory of the season, two teams dropped their first game on Tuesday night. In the conclusion of a holiday tournament in Kalamazoo, the Bronson Vikings Boys' squad picked up a victory in the consolation game over the Galesburg-Augusta Rams 55-41. The win ends a four-game skid for Bronson, while G-A's losing skid goes to four. On the Girls side, the championship title went to G-A with a 38-27 victory over Bronson, giving the Lady Vikings their first loss.

The only other Boys action Tuesday saw the Panthers of Climax-Scotts held off a tough Eau Claire Beavers squad in non-conference action.

The Lady Panthers at Climax-Scotts were also victorious, while the Olivet Eagles suffered their first loss of the year against the girls of Michigan Center.

The next set of games take place in 2015 as the St. Philip Tigers Boys and Girls travel to Union City to take on the Chargers on Friday.
