While the St. Philip Tigers had home-court advantage Wednesday night, the Union City Chargers felt comfortable running the floor at the Tiger Den.

The Tigers trailed by just eight points at the half, 30-22, but a Chargers 12-0 run to open the second half put the game away for good, ending in a 68-48 Union City victory.

Senior Colin Kreger scored a game-high 21 points for the Chargers (3-1), while senior guard Jalen Boes added 18 points while grabbing eight rebounds.

Junior Drew Lantinga and sophomore Justice Steiner each scored nine points to lead the Tigers (2-3) in the loss. Senior David Downey returned to the line-up and scored two points in his first action of the season. He missed the first four games recovering from a dislocated elbow suffered in St. Philip's 8-Man State Final game in November.
