HS Basketball: Area Boys Squads Win District Titles

Seven area squads were vying for Michigan High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball District titles on Friday, ending with a few surprises.

In Class A, the Battle Creek Central Bearcats earned a District title eliminating the Loy Norrix Knights, who knocked them out last season.

In Class B, the Marshall Redhawks survived another nail biter over the hosting Comstock Colts.

Class C saw a upset in Union City, while Delton was no match for Dansville in Maple Valley.

Finally in Class D, the Bellevue Broncos wrapped up their fourth straight district title, defeating St. Philip for the third time this season.
