Keeping It Close: HS Basketball – February 13

It's only been a few weeks since the Harper Creek Beavers and the Pennfield Panthers took the floor in one classic battle in town this season. It was one of the first times other that the Beavers lone loss of the season that they were challenged with a 56-48 victory in Pennfield.

In a game where Harper Creek's TraVon Johnson took control and scored a game-high 25 points, the Panthers had a stellar game from their senior big man Ryan Lowe, scoring 15 points and blocking six shots in the loss.

Tonight the Beavers look to keep pace with Jackson Lumen Christi for the Interstate 8 lead, while the Panthers look to close in on third-place Charlotte and breaking their tie with Parma Western.
