A Splash Of Purple: HS Basketball

It's been a rough stretch for the Lakeview Spartans, who will look to end an 11-game skid tonight at home against the Three Rivers Wildcats. Playing on back-to-back nights, the Spartans look to have enough legs to try to the streak. They fell to the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants on Monday in a make-up game from January and will host Gull Lake on Friday, less than two weeks from their Class A district action.

The Wildcats enter the game tonight at 4-13 and looking for their second straight after knocking off Allegan last Friday, ending a five-game losing streak. The Wildcats will also look to earn their first win in non-conference play, going 0-3 on the season against Niles, Portage Northern and St. Joseph.
