HS Basketball: Comforts of Home

As the Boys Basketball regular season winds down, the schedule can be sometimes favorable for teams looking for momentum before district play. The Harper Creek Beavers are one of those teams, who have their final three games on their own floor. Tonight is the second game of the home stand as they host the Interstate 8 champion Marshall Redhawks in our High School Basketball Game of the Night.

The Beavers enter tonight's contest with three straight wins including Tuesday's 63-48 victory over the Parma Western Panthers, avenging a loss on the road to them earlier this season. With Harper Creek playing at home, they will look to take advantage of their current 5-2 record in their own gym. Those two losses coming to two teams in town - Pennfield and Lakeview.

The Redhawks hope to continue their almost season-long winning streak. After dropping their first two games, they have ran off 15 straight wins and wrapped up the I-8 title Tuesday by thumping Charlotte 70-57. Their schedule was not as favorable towards the end, as they won't see their home floor for the rest of the season. It includes five straight road games to end the regular season.
