The Rivalry Continues: HS Basketball

Two young squads battled it out in Marshall in December with the hosting Redhawks knocking off the Pennfield Panthers. While it was the first loss at the time for the Panthers, the Redhawks were continuing their winning ways. Marshall stepped up the full court pressure and forced several turnovers in the 61-40 victory before the holiday break.

But, that was December.

Since then, the Redhawks have lost five straight since their 6-0 start and have run into injuries to key players. Pennfield has continued to play solid ball, going 5-4 and losing close games to Harper Creek and Parma Western last week. Both teams sit at 3-5 in Interstate 8, tied with Parma and Jackson Northwest for fourth in the new conference.
