On The Road Again: HS Basketball

The St. Philip Tigers have a tough road ahead of them the rest of the season in the South Central Athletic Association, but they look to begin the stretch with a non-conference victory tonight. The Tigers have lost two straight to non-divisional foes in the SCAA, including Friday's 57-51 loss to Pittsford at home. The defeat also dropped them into second place in the SCAA's West Division, trailing Climax-Scotts by a game for the lead.

Tonight, they head to Bronson and renew an old St. Joseph Valley Conference battle with the Vikings. Bronson struggled early in the season but have since won three of their last four, including a 62-61 thriller over White Pigeon last Thursday. They sit in fourth in the new Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph Conference's East Division, two games behind division-leading Cassopolis.

St. Philip is 1-1 on the season against the BCS East, falling to Mendon in the season opener and hammering Centreville in January.
