Spartans Spanked By Loy Norrix: HS Basketball – January 17

"One" was the number on Friday night for the Lakeview Spartans. After trailing by one at the half, the Spartans scored one point in the third quarter and still have a one in the win column, falling to the Loy Norrix Knights 62-43.

The Spartans had an 11-6 lead after the first quarter, but struggled to make baskets the rest of the game, including an 0-for-11 third quarter from the field. Sophomore point guard CJ Foster scored a game-high 15 points for the Spartans (1-6), including three three-balls on the night. Senior Zach Keyes was a spark off the bench, scoring all eight of his points in the fourth quarter.

Grant Mitchell scored 14 points to pace the Knights (3-4) with Jake Link added 10 in the victory.

The Spartans return to action January 23rd at Gull Lake as they take on the winless Blue Devils.
