Bearcats, Tigers Home Tonight: HS Basketball – January 27

While three city teams take the floor tonight, one earned their first victory of their three games this week. The Pennfield Panthers used a strong second half to pull away from the winless Parchment Panthers Monday with a 67-37 victory.

Senior Ryan Lowe scored a season-high 21 points for Pennfield (7-3), while grabbing eight boards and dishing six assists. Ron Jamierson and Deviare Todd each added 12 points in the win.

Tonight, the Battle Creek Central Bearcats host the St. Joseph Bears in non-divisional action in the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference, while the Lakeview Spartans travel west to take on the Lancers of Stevensville-Lakeshore.

The St. Philip Tigers also play host to the Colon Magi tonight in South Central Athletic Association action.
