Pennfield, Harper Creek Get Red: HS Basketball – January 28

The Pennfield Panthers and Harper Creek Beavers can thank weather for delaying their first of two battles in Interstate 8 action. The two teams were used to playing at least once a year in non-conference action, but heavy snow on January 9th postponed their first battle in the new I-8.

The Harper Creek Beavers remain in a first-place tie with Jackson Lumen Christi atop the I-8 after knocking off Marshall at home on January 20th. After suffering their first loss of the season last week, the Beavers fell out of the top ten in Class B, but are still receiving votes as an honorable mention.

The Pennfield Panthers returned to non-conference action Monday and walloped the Parchment Panthers on the road. The Panthers have lost two of their last three games in I-8 play, including last Friday's defeat to Jackson Lumen Christi.

Tonight's game is all also "Red Out Night", where both Pennfield and Harper Creek players will wear red socks in support of the American Heart Association.
