The Harper Creek Beavers dominated  two previous battles with the Marshall Redhawks this season, but the opener of the Class B District Quarterfinals at Harper was completely different. The Redhawks used several runs throughout the game to lead by seven at one point. The veteran Beavers crawled back in and would need a three ball in the final seconds to win it.

Khylen Watkins hit the triple with just four-tenths of a second left to give the Beavers a 75-74 victory over the Redhawks. The winning bucket would add to the senior's 22 points on the evening. Senior TraVon Johnson also scored 22, with four buckets from behind the arc and 14 points in the third.

Marshall's strong effort was led by junior Tyler Torry's 21 points, with junior Jake Brubaker chipping in 18 points and Drew DeVine adding 17.

The win puts the Beavers in the District Semifinal Wednesday night, as they host the Pennfield Panthers.

Here are the rest of Monday's action on the hardwood...
