The District Push Continues: Boys Basketball – March 11

Exciting district basketball action returns for the MHSAA Boys Basketball postseason, with a majority of the area squads playing tonight.

One area school remains in Class A, as the Gull Lake Blue Devils look for their second straight win and look to shock the Jackson Vikings at Holt.

In Class B, the Harper Creek Beavers were almost upset in their quarterfinal battle with Marshall. They will now take on the Pennfield Panthers for the third time this season. Delton plays Comstock in the early game tonight. Also in Class B, Olivet will host Parma Western.

Several area teams will see their first action in postseason play in Class C, as Maple Valley and Galesburg-Augusta will take on Dansville and Potterville, respectively, at Springport. Union City will try to topple host Hillsdale in the semifinals, while Quincy battles Bronson in the late game there.

In Class D, Bellevue and Marshall Academy look to knock each other out at the St. Philip district, with the hosting Tigers taking on Jackson Christian in the late game and rematch of the regular season finale between the two.

At Climax Scotts, the hosting Panthers battle Kalamazoo Heritage Christian, while Calhoun Christian will try to knock down Martin. Finally in Athens, the Indians will host Marcellus Howardsville Christian.
