It was a close game at St. Philip in the Class D District Finals, but the fourth quarter changed the atmosphere at Sheila Guerra Gymnasium. The hosting Tigers trailed after an early 5-0 start, behind by five points at the half and after three quarters. The Bellevue Broncos would use a 15-0 run in the first five minutes of the fourth to pull away with a 59-41 victory over the Tigers.

The 15-0 charge was led by Broncos senior Chris Patterson scoring all 15 points, part of 17 of his game-high 27 in the final stanza. Patterson would hit seven of the Broncos eight three-pointers on the night. Junior Cam Shaw added 12 points while sophomore Dawson Morgan put in nine.

The Tigers end their season with a 14-8 record, with senior Dreyson English leading the way in defeat with 14 points. Senior Hunter Haley and sophomore Ben Swagler each hit two threes apiece for six points.

The Broncos advance to the regional semifinals Monday at home, as they host the Pilgrims of Lansing Christian at 6pm.
