Bearcats, Spartans Meet Again: HS Basketball

The final week of the regular season is here in High School Boys Basketball, and two city teams meet again to conclude their schedules. The Battle Creek Central Bearcats make their way over to Lakeview tonight to battle the Spartans to continue with the long string of tough cross-city battles.

The two teams met at the Central Field House January 30th, with the Bearcats pulling out a 66-61 victory. The Spartans at one time trailed by 15 points and pulled ahead by a point in the closing minutes before Central pulled away at the end.

A win tonight for the Bearcats will put them in a second-place tie with Loy Norrix in the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference's East Division. The Spartans are looking for their second win in three games to conclude the regular season.
