On a night where the St. Philip Tigers had a chance to earn a South Central Athletic Association divisional title, another champion would not let it happen. The Jackson Christian Royals were ahead by 15 after three quarters, but two senior leaders for the Tigers got them back in the game before they fell 59-54 Thursday night.

The loss for the Tigers gives them second place with Bellevue in the talented SCAA West, behind champion Climax-Scotts for the league title. Hunter Haley led all scorers with 24 points, including eight in the final quarter. Dreyson English put in 11 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Theo Boyd led the Royals with 15 points, while Thomas Miller and Dakota Strahan each put in 12.

The two teams battle again next Wednesday in the Class D District Semifinals, also being played at St. Philip.

Here are the rest of the scores from the final night of the regular season in Boys Basketball.
