Lakeview, Marshall, St. Philip Advance: HS Basketball

Ten area schools were in action Friday for a District title in Girls Basketball, with several story lines that will continue into the Regionals. It all starts with the first ever district championship for the Lakeview Spartans, as they pass the Holt Rams on their floor. They will take on Kalamazoo Central Tuesday at Portage Central in the Regional Semifinals in Class A.

At Harper Creek, the hosting Beavers were unable to upend the Marshall Redhawks in the Class B District Final. Marshall's fantastic season continues Tuesday at Hopkins, when they take on Plainwell.

In Bellevue, the St. Phillip Tigers win their first district title in four years with a convincing win over the hosting Broncos. The Tigers will travel to Morenci Tuesday to battle Morrice.
