The Michigan High School Athletic Association's Boys Basketball Districts begin tonight, featuring two of the top Class B teams in Calhoun County squaring off in Comstock. The Marshall Redhawks will take their Interstate 8 title and best overall record in the conference at 16-4 into postseason play and battle the 12-8 Pennfield Panthers.

The two teams squared off twice this season with the Redhawks earning wins in both games by just six points each. While Marshall picked up the wins, Pennfield fought the Redhawks hard for 36 minutes each night.

Marshall had their 15-game winning streak snapped on February 26th by Harper Creek, and have just won one game in their last three.

Since their loss to Marshall in early February Pennfield has won seven of their last eight, including Friday's 60-54 win over Parchment at home.
