HS Basketball – Panthers Hold Off Beavers in I-8 Battle

The students are not back at school yet, but two of the city squads took to the floor for the first time this season in the Interstate 8.

The Pennfield Panthers were looking for their third straight win after an 0-4 start, while the Harper Creek Beavers needed a victory to keep pace with the leaders in the conference.

In the end, it proved to be a great battle of two crosstown rivals in our Game of the Night.

Pennfield and Harper Creek were the lone City teams in action Friday, but there were also 10 area schools in action. It includes Bellevue and Olivet, who were looking to remain undefeated on the season.
