HS Basketball: Bearcats Can’t Knock Down Giants

The Battle Creek Central Bearcats made their way west in hopes of closing in on the Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference's East Division-leading Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants. Through three quarters, it looked like there was a chance for a win, but the Bearcats could only muster two points in the final stanza, falling to the Giants 55-32 at Zuidema Gymnasium Tuesday night.

The Bearcats (10-6) saw their six-game winning streak come to end, with Brett White and Juan Warren leading Central in scoring with nine points apiece.

Jeremiah Richard would score a game-high 19 points on Senior Night at Kalamazoo Central (13-3). Orlando Little added 17 points for the Maroon Giants, who would clinch SMAC East with the victory.
