HS Basketball: Redhawks Roll At Home

Our Game of the Night treated us to a fantastic rivalry and two of the best shooters in the area.

The Marshall Redhawks were looking to win their eighth straight after losing their first two games of the year. The Harper Creek Beavers were trying to avoid their fourth loss in their last five games.

For both teams, fortunately and unfortunately, they came true as the Redhawks come away with a 81-69 victory over the Beavers in the Fountain City. Marshall held the lead the whole game, started by a 10-0 run in the first four minutes.

Senior guard Jacob Brubaker led all scorers with 35 on the night for Marshall (8-2), including 24 in the second half. Tyler Torrey scored nine of his 16 in the second quarter, while Forrest Jackson put in half of his 14 in the first.

Harper Creek (4-5) was led by junior guard Jeremiah Davis' 28 points. Keygan Kane added 13 on the night and Brandon Settles pumped in 11 in the loss.
