HS Basketball – Spartans Struggle in Closing Minutes

The road trip for the Lakeview Spartans down to Sturgis High School hasn't been friendly for several years. Losing their last four games in the Trojans gym (dating back to 2009-2010), the scrappy Spartans looked to challenge one of the top teams in the Wolverine Conference's South Division.

At the same time, the Spartans were looking to end a three-game losing streak by earning their second win on the 2017-2018 season.

Four of the Battle Creek's five city teams were in action on the road Tuesday, and our road trip to St. Joseph County was our Game of the Night. See all the scores from the High School hardwood, including an area team that kept their undefeated season alive.
