HS Football – Lakeview Survives Home Opener

The Lakeview Spartans looked to continue their opening season success with the Portage Northern Huskies Thursday night. The visitors from Portage made it a challenging evening for the Purple and White.

After scoring twice in the second half, the Spartans had control in the first half, leading 14-7, but the final quarter gave us the excitement in our Game of the Night.

The Huskies would tie the contest midway through the final stanza, reaching the Spartans five-yard line, getting picked off but would recover the returning fumble. Two plays later, Northern would score from the one-yard line to knot the contest at 14-14.
