HS Football Preview – Beavers Host Cardinals in Conference Finale (VIDEO)

We return to the Interstate 8 for Week 8 of the High School Football season for the final conference games on the schedule for the Harper Creek Beavers and the Coldwater Cardinals.

In recent years, the two squads have been towards the top of the I-8 standings and have revived a rivalry that goes back to the Twin Valley days. Both squads have seen success in the postseason over the last five years. The two teams have faced each other in the last two postseasons, with an even split in those contests.

This year is a much different year, as the Beavers and Cardinals entered this season with very young squads. They are very similar in record, standing in the I-8, and defeating the same teams this season.

All five City teams are in action tonight, as Battle Creek Central and Pennfield look to inch closer to a potential playoff spot. The area's only undefeated squad, the Olivet Eagles, hit the road and face a one-loss squad.
