Lakeview Runs Over BCC – HS Football Scores-Week 3

The Lakeview Spartans used their ground game and field position to their advantage in a 37-7 pounding of the Battle Creek Central Bearcats Friday night. The Spartans gained 165 yards on the ground, led by Dre'On Kemp's 89 yards on 23 carries and a score. Kemp also returned the opening kick-off 97 yards to put the Spartans on the board.

Senior kicker Jake Herbers also hit all three field goal attempts on the night, from 17, 26 and 35 yards, respectively.

The Bearcats lone score came in the first quarter, as they capitalized on Lakeview's only turnover on the night. Junior quarterback Julieon Cooper connected with junior DJ Watson for a 16-yard score through the air.
