The Marshall Redhawks continued to pound the ground game as they thump the Harper Creek Beavers at home. They would rush for 386 yards on the night on their way to a 42-10 victory, positioning themselves in second place in the Interstate 8 standings on the conference season.

Senior running back Forrest Jackson ran for 221 yards on 29 carries to lead the Redhawks (7-1) on the night to go with three touchdown runs. Senior fullback Chris Upright added three of his own on a 13-carry, 79-yard evening.

The Beavers (3-5) would only manage 101 total yards on the night, with junior quarterback AJ Mitchell throwing for 59 yards on 6-of-13 passing, including an interception. Mitchell would also run for 17 yards on seven carries including Harper Creek's lone touchdown.

Marshall will travel to Portland (7-0) to take on the Raiders in Week 9, while Harper Creek returns home to end their season with the Lansing Everett Vikings (3-5).
