Icy Conditions Delay Flights At Gerald R Ford
Gerald R International Airport of Grand Rapids has reopened its runways, after an icy Monday morning. The Associated Press reports the airport had to shut down its runways and taxiways, due to icy conditions. Airport spokeswoman Tara Hernandez tells Mlive that the step was necessary on Monday morning, to treat icy surfaces. The main runway was shut for about an hour before it was deemed safe for reopening.
