Perhaps it's the trade off for a bit warmer temperatures, but Tuesday's National Weather Service forecast for Battle Creek and southwest Michigan suggests a wintry mix will dominate the day Tuesday.

Most of the day will involve a mix of snow, sleet and rain, which could leave a glaze on area roadways. The high is expected to be just above freezing. This should allow road crews to treat area roadways in an attempt to keep an ice buildup from forming, but side roads, back roads and sidewalks may develop a glaze of ice.
