Illegal Immigrant Sentenced To Jail for Fake ID Scam

A second man has been sentenced to 36 months in prison in connection to a counterfeit ID scam for illegal immigrants.

Jaime Velasco-Jimenez, an illegal immigrant himself, was sentenced Thursday for producing fake names, Social Security cards, Drivers licenses, and other false documents to sell to immigrants in Kalamazoo and Kent Counties, along with two other men.

Jesus Emmanuel Lopez-Garcia has already been sentenced, while Victor Hugo Quesada-Pacheco will be in court on September 17^th.

Both Velasco-Jimenez and Lopez-Garcia face deportation.
