IRS: One-Third File Early

Happy New Year! Now, get those taxes done! Just kidding. Actually, Internal Revenue Service Michigan Spokesperson Luis Garcia tells The Richard Piet Show on WBCK, one-third of tax filers get at it right away after the new year.

The rest of us wait until the last two weeks before the April 15 deadline.

Garcia also talked about what you can do to better prepare for the filing deadline, as well as information everyone should know to avoid scam artists pretending to be from the IRS.
