A 45 year old Sand Lake man was shot and killed in his home last year.  Police thought it was a double homicide.   After hearing an unlikely witness, some are saying it’s a murder-suicide.  The witness is a 20-year-old family parrot named “Bud”.  Many people think the bird is parroting the conversation that lead up to a botched murder-suicide.

Martin Duram died in May of 2015 and police also found his wife, Glenna, in the home with a gunshot wound to the head.   She pulled through. Police reportedly have their suspicions about her.

A story at WOOD-TV’s website says the victim’s parents are frustrated that nobody has been charged in the death.   They also say they believe the bird is a witness.

See their story here:

Duram’s mom, Lillian Duram says, “That bird picks up everything and anything, and it’s got the filthiest mouth around.”

Martin Duram's first wife Christina Keller got the parrot back after Duram died.  She's been listening to it repeating that argument since it happened last year.

They all say they can clearly hear Bud saying “Don’t f****n’ shoot,” in the dead man’s voice.
