A 74 year old businessman is headed to jail for stealing from the Detroit school district. On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts says that Norman Shy’s sentence should stand as a deterrent for others tempted to steal from the district. Shy has been sentenced to five years in jail, after being convicted in a bribery and kickback scheme involving a dozen principals and one administrator.
