A 63-year-old Kalamazoo man is now behind bars after he allegedly stabbed his neighbor late Thursday night.

According to a press release, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the 2300 block of S. Burdick Street around midnight on reports of a stabbing, and discovered the 42-year-old victim suffering wounds to his shoulder. The man told officers that his neighbor had stabbed him, following an argument.

Authorities then used a PA system to get the suspect to leave his home, and he was promptly arrested.

The victim was treated on scene for non-life threatening injuries, and the suspect was lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail on felonious assault charges.
