Kalamazoo Man Arrested With Rifle In His Pants

An arrest was made in Kalamazoo Friday afternoon, after a man was found with a rifle hidden on his person.

In a release, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety says that they received a tip just before 2pm Friday, regarding a wanted person in the area of the 100 block of E. Kalamazoo. An officer located the suspect, and the man was taken into custody without incident.

A search of the suspect turned up a .22 rifle with its stock sawed off, hidden in the man’s pants, along with ammunition.  The male in his 20’s is now looking at charges of carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana, and outstanding warrants.
