A Kalamazoo man was arraigned Wednesday after he allegedly attempted to kidnap two kids at a bus stop. 59-year-old Ivory James Miller was charged with two counts of attempted kidnapping.

Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to North and Douglas streets at around 6:30am Tuesday. A father had dropped his daughter off at the stop and then saw a man begin to chase her as he drove off. He stopped the vehicle and punched the suspect, who was chasing another child.

Officers found the suspect walking away from the bus stop with injuries from his confrontation with the father and arrested him after he was treated at the hospital.
