Kalamazoo Man Tased After Attempting To Flee From Police
A Kalamazoo man was arrested Thursday morning after a trespassing investigation led to a tasing and discovery of a firearm.
Around 1:45am Thursday, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers were at the Fox Ridge Apartments, and attempted to detain the occupants of a vehicle in the course of a trespassing investigation. When officers approached, the front seat passenger attempted to flee.
The 30-year-old suspect was tased by officers, and taken into custody. As well, a loaded handgun was found nearby.
The suspect is lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail on resisting and obstructing, felony firearm, trespassing, carrying a concealed weapon and many other outstanding warrants.
